Craft Club Project
Last nights Craft Club was as busy as ever with 21 crafty people happily beavering away!. Just want to say Thanks to Sue for bringing along a box full of empty containers all crying out to be altered. She gave them away to anyone offering a good home, but guess what.... I missed out! Oh well, think I've got enough of a collection of boxes and such like to last me a lifetime!!!I thought I would just post a piccie of the project we did last night. It was quiet a mammoth task but I do hope everyone enjoyed the challenge! We made a notice board which has a removable calendar....attached with magnetic sheet so it can be replaced each year!!! Hows that for forward thinking??!! There is also a cover for a note book which again can be easily replaced when full, and even a little pocket for receipts or a gift card or message! The base board was covered with beautiful Prima papers from the Nature Garden Collection. Everyone chose their favourite and matched it with a contrast paper for the header board. All decorated with some lovely metal pieces and lots of butterflies...Always a favourite!
I hope some of the ladies who came along last night will send me some pictures of their finished pieces because its always lovely to see how different they all look.
Hope you like this months project. Next Club meeting is Monday 3rd December. There will be lots of Festive nibbles and some Christmas crafting.

Craft Club Sneak Peak!
Thank you to those who have replied to my email . It would be most useful if you could let me know whether you are able to come along on Monday. This is a quick post just to give you a sneak peak of the project we'll be doing! There will be no messy fingers and.....wait for it.....NO STAMPING! How can that be???!!! Well I thought I would do something different this month and as promised you will be making some sort of calender thingy, but it hasn't turned out quiet as I had planned in my head! Well you should know me well enough by now and that shouldn't come as too much of a surprise!
As you can see there will be lots of butterflies and some yummy metal bits. OOOooo... Can't wait!
Hope to see you Monday.

Pan Pastels
Good evening. I'm on a roll at the moment, can't stop blogging!!! I'm sure the novelty will soon wear off! I thought I would share with you my love of Pan Pastels. I am a real fan of Distress Inks and really didn't know if I would enjoy playing with these lovely pots of vibrant pigments. Pan pastels are great fun to use. What I love about them is how easy it is to create beautiful layered backgrounds. If you fix each layer before progressing to the next you will find very little blending leaving a beautiful clean effect. But if you want to blend your colours that is just so simple. Make a mistake, then you can erase it with a normal rubber. So forgiving and a wonderful range of must have colours - All 80 of them. You will need them all!
I still love my Distress Inks but Pan Pastels come a close second. I can see myself using them alot! Well I had better as I have invested in all 80 colours! I am arranging with Marion at SUGAR AND SPICE to do a demo there so watch this space. I'll let you know the date as soon as we get it sorted.

Andy Skinner Demo
Good Morning. Had a lovely morning last Saturday at Pinnacle Crafts . Andy Skinner was demonstrating and I just love his techniques. It was great to be able to be part of the audience instead of sitting the other side of the table! Although I did get itchy fingers!!! I enrolled a while back on his online Book of Secrets workshop and made Tony this Book Box for his 30th Birthday. Can't believe I have a Son who's 30!!!!
We also had a play with the same techniques at last months Craft2gether Club. We had 24 people attend, some of who were newby's, so I hope you all enjoyed it and will be back for more next week!!! We are making a Calendar cum notice board thingy!!! You had better come along to see what its all about!
Ta Ta for now!

A New Beginning
Much to my surprise, little ol' me seems to have time on her hands!!! My role as Regional Account Manager for Creative Expressions is no more and I now have a real part time job! I will also be doing freelance workshops and demonstrations and I'm really looking forward to having time to play with my Stash of crafty bits. Some of which haven't seen the light of day for quiet a while!
I will try really hard to post regularly because I no longer have the excuse of not having the time!!!!
I hope to see some of you at one of my demonstrations or workshops.
DENNY BROS Workshop
Thanks to all the lovely peeps attending last Fridays workshop. Lots of fun was had by all. We even had a lovely young man join in with his Grandma and he did really well.
This is a shadow box, so simple to construct and great to give as a card or gift. Can be hung, or in this case we have used Tim Holtz's small easel diecut to stand it.
The next workshop will take place on Saturday 24th November. Please contact Katie Brett at Denny Bros, Bury St Edmunds to book your place.I'll post some sneak peaks nearer the time!
Bye for now

Craft Den Workshop
Hi folks. I know, long time since I posted. New Years resolution!!!!- Post more regularly. See how I go with that one. The diet one doesn't seem to last any longer than a week, same with the 'keeping the craft room tidy' one!!!! Still, I can only try.
Anyhow, thought I would post piccies of the two projects we did at The Craft Den, Wisbech. We had a great time and thanks to Terri for keeping me fed and watered. Love those sausage, bacon and tomato rolls. Yummy!!! I could just eat one now!
We also made some lovely flowers which I will show you tomorrow.
Hope you like these. The easel card has a box for post it notes, and the other card is a slider. Great fun to make.
Take care

Cale Logan

Our darling little grandson, Cale Logan is actually due this Sunday. But as most of you know, he arrived 9 weeks early, weighing just 3lb 8oz! I have just been to see him and he's now a healthy 6lb 3oz! I suppose we all think our babies are wonderful, but he is so beautiful I could eat him. He has changed so much and today I could see my son in him. His tiny fingers amaze me, so delicate and perfect. Just scrummy!!!
Here is a picture of him taken 2 weeks ago along with the card I made for him.
Love to have your comments.
Hugs
