Fairy Door

One of my little granddaughters, Autumn, asked me to make her a Fairy door with butterflies on it. 😁 So I set to work!!!

I removed the lock and hinges, then painted the door to resemble wood. Then on the arch section I added some areas of crackle paste, followed by modelling paste through a Sheena stencil. Can’t remember the name but it’s like a ledger page with leaves entwined. I also added more texture through an ivy stencil. No idea where I got that from!!!! Once dry I painted with PaperArtsy fresco paints and added some highlights with White Fire Treasure Gold.

I made a video Here showing how I created the background for the panel behind the door. I stamped with a selection of Lavinia stamps which I’ll add links to at the bottom of this post.

It’s for a little girl who loves sparkle......well who doesn’t!!!! So I added lots!!!!!

There’s even real fairy dust in little glass bottles. They must NEVER be opened for fear of losing some and the fairies magic will fade away!

Here I stamped the Zen butterfly on shrink plastic and coloured with promarkers. They shrunk beautifully.
