Sharing a couple of samples today using the beautiful Simmi and Indian flourish. These stamps are so detailed and delicate ..... I love them.
I’ve used Brusho’s for the backgrounds. In the first card I’ve sprinkled a tiny amount onto a large acrylic block then lightly spritzed with water that has some enchanted gold mica powder dispersed in it. Then ‘splodged’ it onto the card!!! Love the effect you get where the mica pools in areas. It’s difficult to photograph but I hope you can just about see it.
In this second card I’ve used what I call a ‘Cracked Ice’ background. I used to use this technique a lot with Cosmic Shimmer misters, but Eileen Godwin has a video Here showing how to use the same technique with Brusho’s. I must say that I prefer this because it allows you to leave more white space which I love. And I absolutely love how the mica collects in the folds of the cling film and leaves that lovely cracked ice effect.
Hope this inspires you to get out your Brushos! Have fun

ReplyDeleteA truly delightful effect,I aspire to be as good as these artists.
ReplyDeleteIt would be a card to treasure once received
Both the cards are stunning.
ReplyDeleteI'm a beginner at this, but I have fallen in love with the Lavinia Stamps and can't get enough of using them.
I have just made one using Distress oxide on a gelli plate using simmi.
It is now allocated to my teenage granddaughter for her birthday. I was so pleased with it.
You are so inspiring. 🫠❤️x
