Just a Quicky!!!

I haven't had much time for crafting lately but thought I would just post a piccie of a golden wedding card I have just completed. These little love birds are sitting on a snow covered branch!!! But I've coloured with brown and I think it looks ok! The background has been created with distress inks using a stencil brush to give a nice soft effect. The roses are made with a 6 petal flower punch with a few glossy accent dew drops.A tutorial on how to make these can be found here: Maria

This card was for the same family. This is the design she requested.

Hope you like them.

Easel cards and Craft Club News

I've got the bug! Easel Cards!!! Really easy to make and very effective. I must admit though that I'm not sure a non crafter would know how to display them if they were sent one. So with that in mind I have made a little instruction leaflet to send with the card. This first card I made for my Mum to give to her friends Grandson.

This second card I made for my good friend and work collegue, Maria. Her birthday was last weekend and what a coincedence that Lynsay also made her an easel card. The stamps used are from a set I purchased at Stamperama and this was their first use!

Here is the card I made for my son Peter's birthday, using our Wine stamp plates and playing with Distress inks and mica pigments.

It was Craft Club last Tuesday and because of my busy lifestyle at the moment I didn't have time to prepare the project I had put on the programme. So the ladies have a challenge: They took their basic frame home so they could come up with their own design. It can be made into anything they wish. Think beyond a frame, maybe a wall hanging with a nice sentiment? Any materials can be used and there will be a competition next month with a prize for the winner.

Anyhow this is the card we made instead and I think everyone enjoyed playing with a new way to apply Distress inks. We used stencil brushes to produce a subtle softer finish. Here are some of the ladies cards.

If anyone from the club would like a frame to enter next months challenge please give me a ring or email me.

Watch this space for news of our October workshop.

Take Care and happy crafting
