National Marquetry competition

Just wanted to tell you that my latest marquetry picture won 2nd place in the advanced class. I was most surprised to recieve a place, but feel very honoured. My next project is a pendulum clock. It will probably take me at least 2 years to complete!!!
Here's a photo of my picture. It will be hanging on Mum's wall when the exibition is finished!

Thank you for looking.

Thanks Maria

I'm very grateful to Maria for passing these awards onto me. THANK YOU so much!

These awards are the friendship and Lemonade stand awards:
The instructions for each award are as follows:

"These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated" It also says: "Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award." (Friendship)
and:
Nominate 5 to 10 blogs you feel show great attitude and gratitude. Link to your nominees within your blog post.- Comment on their blogs to let them know they've received the award. Link back to the person who gave you the award to show your appreciation. (Lemonade Stand)

New Stamps!

Now the wedding is over and our Son and Daughter in law have left for their honymoon, I can finally start getting back to normal. Mind you - school holidays are now upon us so no doupt I will be back and forth with Bobby to his various activities! I have a party to prepare for this Wednesday as well as reorganising our garage for the delivery of our kitchen!!!
Here are a few little projects I've been doing using some of my new stamps from Particraft

This is using an unmounted butterfly stamp, inked with Perfect medium and brushed with Cosmic Shimmer mica pigments (pearl set)The background is Mica pigment suspended in a little water and sprayed onto the cardstock.

The following stamp is from a new unmounted stamp set. Great value for money! It has been watercoloured with my favourite! Distress Inks! Glitter highlights using the new Cosmic Shimmer Twinkles.

This last card is again watercoloured with Distress inks. The stamp from the Murray and Ethel A4 Stamp set.

Thanks for looking!

Wedding Photos!

Been a bit busy this last couple of weeks!! Tony and Sammy were married last Saturday. It was a beautiful wedding, the weather was great thank goodness, the venue was wonderful and the reception went really well. All in all, it couldn't have been better! The service took place at Hedingham Castle and the reception was at Marks Hall Country Estate. Both stand in the most beautiful grounds as you can see in the photos.

Thanks for looking. Hope you enjoy the photos. I will get back to Blogging again soon. Still getting over a hectic few days!!!

Love Lynne. X

Just "Bee"cause!

Sorry I've not been around visiting your blogs lately, but our pc's been on strike. How did we ever cope without one!!! Just back on line and hoping things will stay that way until I've finished this post!
Been busy playing with some of my new stamps from Ally Pally. These lovely Bee stamps are a selection from some of the new stamp sets from Particraft The images have been coloured with Cosmic Shimmer watercolours and the papers are from my stash.

This following card has been made with a few different stamping techniques which we will be using at the craft club next Tuesday. Stamping with Perfect Medium and heat embossing with clear EP to create a subtle floral matt. The green has been done with a background stamp from the Bee range, stamped with Perfect Medium and gently brushed with Cosmic Shimmer Mica pigments

This Baby Lovins stamp is from Rubbernecker.Isn't she cute!

Hope you like them. Hopefully back soon.
